DESCRIPTION:Alexander (Ali) Hancorn is an experienced orchestral musician\, having played in early music festivals with the Baroque Collective\, large scale symphonies with the London City Orchestra\, Ernest Read Symphony Orchestra\, University of London Symphony Orchestra and Cavatina Orchestra. He has also recently been seen playing with the Fulltone Orchestra in their Devizes 2022 ‘Fulltone Festival’. \nIn addition to his orchestral playing\, Ali has performed with The English Jazz Orchestra and Big Smoke Brass\, as well as holding principal seats in the Royal Greenwich Brass Band and Lewes Big Band.Trumpet through the ages -a dive into the history of trumpet repertoire through the baroque period up to 21st century. \nAli will be delighting us with ‘Trumpet through the Ages’ -a repertoire diving into the history of trumpet through the baroque period up to 21st century. The musical partnership between Deborah and Rachael began nearly 30 years ago when they first met as students at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama. Since then\, their careers have taken them across the diverse landscapes of the vocal world. \nAfter graduating\, Deborah moved into musical theatre and performed in West End productions including The Phantom of the Opera and The Sound of Music. Rachael dedicated her career to the classical stage\, working extensively as an opera singer both within the UK and on the international circuit. Rachael has just finished a run in the role of the mother\, Cathy\, in Mark-Anthony Turnage’s new opera of The Railway Children at Glyndebourne. Tonight represents a wonderful full-circle moment for these two lifelong friends. \nJoining them at the piano will be acclaimed West End Musical Director Gemma Hawkins\, who completes the trio as a fellow graduate of the Guildhall! Gemma is currently Co-Musical Director for Moulin Rouge!
